Where the Left will be, after the trust vote?. If UPA wins, there will be egg on the face of the entire Left and the deal will go through. If UPA fails, there will be elections, and the BJP is likely to come to power (with a depleted Left in Parliament). So their main purpose of keeping the communal BJP from power will be defeated. It is not all. The BJP Govt. was more friendly with the U.S. than UPA. What will prevent them from completing the nuclear deal? So Left is indirectly helping BJP and also the nuclear deal to be done with, while it gains nothing. In fact, the Left is playing to its vote bank in W.B., Kerala etc. to try to keep their vote bank intact. By defeating UPA, they think they can save their face before their followers in these States and try to maintain their power. But the people are watching and have their own idea about this drama. Propaganda alone will not save the Left here. This could well be the beginning of the end of Communism in India!
