Speaker utterances not in good taste.
by Bishwa NathSingh on Jul 17, 2008 06:40 AM

Yes, it is true that the utterances of the Speaker of Lok Sabha Somnath Chatterjee has not been taken very kindly by majority of people when he said that he can't vote on an issue along with BJP in the Lok Sabha if he steps down from speaker ship as per dictum of his party. If the BJP is really a communal & anti-national, why did they ban this party? The speaker Somnath Chattejee had said that so long, he continues to be speaker, he will be a non-party person and his action will be prejudice to none and very neutral. If it is so, surely his utterances should not be taken by all of us very kindly and the BJP should move for his impeachment, if he does not step down defying his party's whim. May we suggest them though very much younger in age & being a non-politician to keep restraint while making such utterances that can be controversial & bring bad name to the incumbent of such high office!
