BJP's tirade against Somnath Chatterjee
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 17, 2008 06:04 AM

BJP questioned the impartiality of the Speaker. It is their habit to lash out at every one who does toe their line. Here in the case of Somnath Chatterjee, apart from being Speaker, he is MP representing CPI(M) and a human being too. He has own principles which he hold them dear.Rudy was reading too much into the statement of the Speaker. There was nothing wrong in his statement when he said that he would not like to vote along with BJP. He said it in the capacity as MP, if he resigns and join the voting club. He never said these statements from the chair of the Speaker. The desperation of the BJP is understandable but tirade against the speaker is unfortunate. Even among the own rank and file of BJP, some of the MPs are in favour of the deal and why not when a person like Bal Thackery could support such a deal, what is the problem with the BJP. Their main aim is to topple the Govt so that their grand old man at 81 could be installed as the next PM. The day dreaming of the BJP would remain as day dream as said by RPI MP Alvale the other day. The people of this country wants developments which the UPA alone could provide and not the communal party like BJP and allies. By winning in a few states, they think they can win all over the country. They are totally mistaken as Muslims are solidly behind the secular forces led by Congress and allies. As long as this community support the secular forces, these communal parties cannot come back to power. That is why Advani wooing Muslims.
