Interesting! What I mean is that India's polity has to change and it is changing fast. Out of the 315 districts or so 175 are not governable. PM has himself declared that in the District Commissioner's meet. That is indicative of the fact that the current dispensation is skewed. Despite rise of multitude of regional parties people are blowing up police stations and the like. So? Something is wrong and BJP and Congress cannot address that by their way of functioning and corruption. Vajpayee used to like his "Tali Hui Macchhli". We shall soon see dozen India's emerge politically on the Indian landscape - not like the 600-800 kings and queen that we had till about 60 years or so but something different. What, I cannot predict but it is happening and Delhi can no longer stop it. So the point from an arm chair theoretician's point of view would - very, very interesting times. VP Singh and the "Poooor farmer" from Bangalore will also no longer matter. That is my reading. Chandrashekhar resulted in emptied coffers in 4 months flat of his rule and VP Singh had his own agenda. Delhi may not be the centre of rule in the longer run. That is my reading. And large centralized parties may not be able call their shots any longer. All this has occurred in the past six decades because of the fact that the political leadership has been almost non existent in India and todays consequence is as a result of all of that. I have no solution or theories to suggest what may be the way out. But thank
