A Tragic Repetition of History
by Satya Banerji on Jul 17, 2008 07:51 AM

Westinghouse and General Electric take the places of the East India Company and motley European traders. Political and business leaders who support the subjugation of India for narrow ambitions repeat the tragedy of former princely states that sold themselves in to slavery to spite each other. It is a supreme irony that even the scion of the family in the vanguard of our freedom movement now lends a voice to the move to sell India to the U.S. I feel the pain of Indira Gandhi Ji's spirit in the unfolding drama of our national demise.
