Bardhan a few days back made a public announce- ment that the Congress party was trying to buy over MPs at Rs. 25 Cr. each and expressed sur- prise at this high figure. He is probably not aware that in the recent elections in Karnataka, BJP reprtedly bought over each MLA for Rs. 50 Crs. How does the party account for such high slush payments is any body's guess. Yet their public posture is that they are a pure party with Gandhian values !
