RE:Right or wrong gesture - it takes anyone nowhere
by Devavrata Satya on Jul 15, 2008 07:20 AM

Mr. Samaritan,

There is no evidence that either nature or life were created by a god of some sort. In the absence of evidence, we cannot deny god, but it is upto god or his believers to amass evidence.

If nature and life requires a supreme being to create it, how did this supreme being itself come into existence? If this being can come into existence by itself, so can nature and life.

I admire your progressive views, but I am sorry to say that they have little to do with Christianity and everything to do with your being a good human being.

Accepting God in the absence of evidence is itself getting overawed by myths. Spirituality is not about accepting God but being in search of God - not believing what has been handed down, but looking for oneself.

It is nice if you believe that the God you believe in views everyone equally. Just for comparison, the Christian God does not view believers and infidels equally.

Pleasure talking to you, Mr. Samaritan.

Regards,
Devavrata
