You said it right, Beggers can not be choosers. Last time i visited india - i gave 1 rupee change to a begger - while boarding a rikshaw. He promptly gave it back to me saying, "sir please buy something for your kids with this." While your statement is true in general, its not true for Indian beggers! And nation is build of the people. If India is a begger then its made of beggers - and spirit has to maintained. 'nuph said!
