No need for Kalam to change his stance
by mallaiah anchoori on Jul 14, 2008 11:13 PM

Absolutely, there is no need to change his stance for a person like kalan who is upright, honest to the core with proven integrity which got reflected either as a scientist or as the one time first citizen of India.Where is the need for him.Arun Shoerie with all his journalistic knowledge should know that, still, there are people in this world who cannot be bought or influenced. And Kalam is above all petty politics;he is indomitable in his attitude and nature and does not care for any thing except for his conscience.Imputing motives to him is not at all in good tate -that too for persons like Arun showrie who perhaps, swayed by the need to support his party appears to have concocted such a story.Does he mean that he wanted to favour Congress which did not consider a second term for his presidentship despite his merit & deservedness?Did he not feel morally obligatory to support the stand of BJP which sponsored his name for the presidenship during its regime/in both the cases-"No"He is above all these petty & sundry politics. His sole intention is to do good to the nation which he served in several capacities including as country's first citizen. His opinion is objective whether it offends some one or benefits the other politically.Instead of feeling happy for such persons being amidst us to guide us in matters of paramount importance like this,it is unfortunate that people choose to hurl slanders against him.Being a man of fortitude,he, however, remains unperturbed for such things.
