Why is it a must that he should resign from speaker position? Do you know what a position of the speaker of the house means?

Which party does s/he belong to? Recall some civics you read 30-40 years ago... (obviously long back, coz you seem to have forgotten most of it)..

Prime Minister and his cabinet are the seat of power, mate... not the speaker... get your priorities right
