What is so shocking, in democratic setup it is not at all shocking, any one can win from anywhere. Unlike many, he at least didn't fight election from behind bars. I wonder if, state killing of innocent muslims was found shocking by such authors in the land of the greatest indian icon of non-violence Mahatma Gandhi. And, the man who bloted the face of Gujrat and the whole nation is dreaming of becoming PM - see his popularity.
