The dye is cast and Manomhan would be tested on 22nd July. It is not clear whether he would scrape through but as things stands today, trouble ahead for him. It is mainly because, the splinter groups, fence sittes, would be playing their part crucially in this sordid game. They may upse the calculations of the UPA or the Left. It is to be seen soon. The splinter groups include Ajit Singh RLD, JD(S)TRS, JMM, and independents are the one to be closely watched. They have their own grievance against the Govt. But then Opposition too is not in a happy position led by BJP as they fall short to upset the UPA. The Left nodoubt play a crucial part in this game. But then, what is debated here is whether such an exercise is required at all? For a man of PM stature, a renowned World famous Economist, must not soil his image in this political one upmanship. He became politician and PM as well by chance and not by choice. Its time for him to redeem himself. Surprise everyone by driving down to Rashtrapathi Bhavan before the crucial vote and tender resignation of his cabinet. If he does so, he will be hailed. But if he faces the vote and loses, then it would be a sorry affair for him and his party. The political reading is he should quit for the sake of his own honour. It would be for the first time that the ruling Party would be voted out. This is unprecedented and he should not allow this to happen.Once the Left, main party withdrew, he should have resigned. Still not too late Mr.PM,quit.
