Kerala needs nuclear energy than anybody else.

I am a non-keralite deputed to work in kerala for two years. My experience summarises Kerala:
On arrival at Railway station, i called a coolie to lift my luggage. I was surprised by the charges and refused to utilise the services of the coolie. I preferred to tow my luggage instead upto the autostand. I was not allowed to tow the luggage yourself. I was asked to pay the coolie charge to the union and then move my luggage.

I was shifting my residence back after completion of my deputation and had asked for a packer movers company to shift my belongings. They sent their own workers (Keralites) who packed and were ready to stow the belongings into a truck. The local union blocked the shifting and demanded the wages / charges be paid to them (an exhorbitant amount). The reasoning given was that they were there to take care of the labour work involved and we had robbed them of their daily wage. While we were shifting, they were around the street corner smoking cigarettes and drinking kallu. Only when the shifting into the truck started was when they interefered.

This commie mentality and unionism is destroying kerala. Kerala has no Industries worthwhile. The state's main source of Finances is Sales Tax. Except for rubber and Tea Gardens based industries, there is no manufacturing. Everything is imported from other states and consumed. A new industry is driven out in the name of pollution and strikes. NO DOUBT IT IS GOD'S OWN COUNTRY.
