India doesnt need a deal to go on global stage. Its already there since 11th May 1998. To go closer to USA signing the deal should not be a condition. G8 countries are supporting it because they want access of IAEA in to Indian nuclear establishment. I got your point that you want India to play USA's fiddle for the sake of their support and protection but many self-esteemed and patriotic Indians dont like it that way. USA wants tobe frnd of India then it should be without any conditions or deals.
