There is shortage of electricity in India today even though India uses lot less power per capita than the developed nations. Once our lifestyle changes and even present materialistic boom reaches the masses then what will happen to our energy requirement.
During 1973 Oil embargo west had taken a step to go nuclear but that was stopped short by environmentalists except in France.
In India people do not plan for future, they only plan for tommorrow. This deal is for the future.
