Nuclear Deal
by sisir majumder on Jul 11, 2008 11:17 AM

The Govt. of India and the govt. of USA recognizes the significance of Civilian nuclear deal for meeting growing energy demand. They want to cooperate extensively in the full development and use of Nuclear energy for peaceful purposes as means of achieving energy security on a stable, reliable, and predictable basis. But in the deal the language of the 123 agreement is ambiguous and obscure. Their commitment to preventing proliferation of weapons and strengthening the strategic partership between them. This has raised a controversial issue which must be explained clearly in oder to remain transparent in this regard.
