Respect to Martyrs
by Guest on Jul 10, 2008 01:39 PM

Going through the news in The Tribune, may be in Delhi Central govt. leaders are busy with new developments but in states particularly in Himachal where the ministers have nothing to do except making money for next five years did not have any time or sense to be avialvle to pay any respect at the funeral place of Martyr Mr.Roop Singh. It is really a shame on the part of HP leaders. Situation is slightly different in Punjab where at least some second level ministers could spare their time to visit the place of funeral for Mr.Pathania and pay their homage.
Leaders in general have nothing to do with the sacrifices for the country by any body except themselves or their trade or their kith and kins. Even if they bother a bit it will be only for their political benefit but not for the sake of homage in true sense.
People are so attached to these self centred leaders all around them that they feel ignored due to their (leaders) absence at such or other occasions which should not be there. People of the country should give minimum weightage to self centred leaders and should ignore them in dau to day life activities.
