Not at all
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jul 11, 2008 10:31 AM

Our Indian Government and I would say 90% of Indians never treat or ever respect a martyr or any defence personnel who struggles the entire life to safeguard our country externally as well internally. We only talk big big things and that too if we get time on some particular national day like Republic or Independence Day. Except for officials being in top positions other's family are struggling and having the same pathetic life. Is it not a shame that the family of our great soldiers who have laid down their lives in Kargil is still to get something to live and they are still hoping that one day life will be better for themselves especially their kids who are to grow as a patriotic Indian. And we living in urban places would not mind spending money of unwanted things like cigerattes, drinking but would be thinking 100 times to spare even 10 Rs for the family of a martyr. No wonder 75% of Indians especially next generation is not bothered about their country.
