RE:Left isolation
by VENURAJA Bowenpalle on Jul 09, 2008 01:44 PM

Left was never progressive.
Political idealogies can not make a country rich.
It is the economic policies that would make the country rich or poor.
Left opposed computarisation and even BJP leaders laughed at Rajiv Gandhi's efforts of large scale computarisation and his penchant to acquire super computers.

Now what would the left say?

Computerisation did not diminish the opportunity for employment . It infact it increased the jobs and job market tremendously, and also it is earning foreign exchange.
Now the communists say that nuclear deal would make us slaves of USA. which is obviously wrong.
They are probably paid by their masters in China to oppose the deal with USA.

We do not have any other better alternative than nuclear energy which can be produced on massive scale to cater to the growing needs of electricity.

And USA controlling India by as simple nuclear deal is practically impossible.
Every country in the world knows that none can control or tame India to do their bidding.
We proved that during 1971 war by dividing the Pakistan in to two pieces.
Pak's friend USA could do nothing.
May be USSR is not there now, but we have become immensly strong with new technologies.

How is it possible for USA to control our weapon acquisition, our economic development, our foreign policy etc., through their nuclear deal?
Comminists are biding their political masters in China. It is not surprising.
