This is not the first time terrorists have attacked the sovereignty of India.

Hence, the world knows who and what the LTTE terrorists are capable of and error in judgment made by India and the terrorist Pirapharan of the LTTE is yet to be captured by India.
In these circumstances it is of utmost importance that India demonstrates to the world, effective counter terrorism measures that would be put in place, so that the LTTE terrorists will never ever be able to commit such atrocities in the Indian soil and more importantly, have effective naval and air surveillance, to prevent the LTTE terrorists spreading terrorism, whether be in India or Sri Lanka.
The lessons learned by India, when pandering to whims and fancies of the LTTE terrorists have been bitter lessons.
Hence, if History is a learning curve, India ought to have learned the lesson well, never to align herself with any terrorist group, whether the terrorists are operating within India or in Sri Lanka.
India must take further initiative steps to counter terrorism from Asia.
