FIRM RESOLVE IS NEEDED
by Vivek Harry on Jul 09, 2008 04:43 PM

The author seems to be from the panchsheel university. While sending troops to afghanistan, we should keep in mind the IPKF experience in Afghanistan, if we are hoping for some quick miracles, then we better not go there, but if we have some long-term 50-100 year plan of changing the whole religiopolitical flora and fauna, then we can go ahead, the problem is totally religiopolitical and has to dealt with by a firm powerful deep commitment which is really long-term. We should go only if we are confident that we will come back only if we are victorious. That victory is not possible unless we break up Pakistan into smitherens and change the color from green to white if not saffron. If we are not supremely confident and hell bent on changing the color of the sky, then there is no point in going. This battle cannot be won on the battlefield, it should go into the homes and the mosques, if we have the guts to do that, full steam ahead.
