Interestingly enough, these politicians do not either understand or try to suppress the facts. In Amarnathji Yatra route, most of the vendors, pony-holders, Dandi carriers, coolies, camp-tents owners, are all muslims and they make good business. One very simple business is selling walking sticks for trekking - while you start the trekking they sell it for Rs.5 or so and while you are returning they take back it either when you throw it or by requesting from you - once again sell it. They sell shawls, bedsheets, carpets, dress, other material to the pilgrims. Excepting of course the food which is supplied free in langars, all sales are by muslims - kashmiries. In fact they wait for the Amarnath Yatra period to commence to make their living for the rest of year. Any land given for the Amarnath Shrine will only benefit these poor muslims, not the hindu pilgrims who go on yatra once in a lifetime! Are the mufti sayeeds unaware of this or do they not want the Kashmiri muslims to benefit from this? They just paint it saffron for the sake of creating hatred between Hindus and Muslims so that they can withdraw support, topple the government, go for elections, try to form government and make money.
