RE:Selling India to US ??
by farrukh khan on Jul 08, 2008 08:10 PM

Let India first think about what is good for itself and then see what is good for its friends.

India is a debarred nation, banned by all the nations as we are not signatory to NPT. We have been blasting atomic tests after tests in violation to international norms. So, the opportunity that India is getting with this N-deal is giving access to India. A big gain indeed.
As regards N-tests, if the need arises India has to conduct tests, it can do so. India has to weigh the pros-cons of Tests v/s Supply of Fuel. Proper wisdom would guide the path to be followed.
Why a confidential text should be disclosed to the public is a question. If that is democracy then India should do away with democracy. If all defence and strategic relations become talk of the town and discussed, no enemy country of India need spies. Our great democratic govt would do that job.
Why because we are democracy and our great citizens wants to know what the govt is doing.
Why only N-deal, let every purchase of defense, civil avaiation, etc be also discussed. It would become a mockry for the whole system.
If the citizens have to discuss every strategic deal, then why have PM and the cabinet. Let there be referendum on every issue, and run a TRUE DEMOCRACY.

What our honest PM is doing is fine.
Keep it up.
We want him back for another term.
