Sonia might have played a trick by asking the PM to go to G8 summit saying the Nuke deal will go through and go back on the deal after PM returns from there. This is the reason Pranab had set a meeting with the Left on 10th. PM wanted to make sure such a thing does not happen and hence he made it clear publicly that the deal will be taken to the next stage. Now the Left is furious.
