RE:Few questions
by Anumakonda JAGADEESH on Jul 06, 2008 10:44 PM

Your Question 6.You are wrong. There are several countries which use Nuclear Energy more than 25%.Today nearly 440 nuclear reactors produce electricity around the world. More than 15 countries rely on nuclear power for 25% or more of their electricity. In Europe and Japan, the nuclear share of electricity is over 30%. In the U.S., nuclear power creates 20% of electricity. By contrast, 56 operate civil research reactors, and 30 have some 435 commercial nuclear power reactors with a total installed capacity of over
370 000 MWe .This is more than three times the total generating capacity of France or Germany from all sources. France and Lithuania get around three quarters of their power from nuclear energy, while Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia and Ukraine get one third or more. Japan, Germany and Finland get more than a quarter of their power from nuclear energy, while the USA gets almost one fifth. As regards major wind energy producers Germany leads with 22,247 MW followed by USA 16,818 MW, Spain 15,145 MW and India 8757 MW.In India Wind farms are set up mainly by Big Industries as a Tax saving measure because of 80% depreciation. As a contrast in Denmark every 5th person is a partner in Wind farms because of "WIND CO-OPERATIVES" there. In Mangolia one lakh fifty thousand small wind battery chargers operate.

Put RENEWABLES to work: To get inexhaustble, pollution-free Energy which cannot be misused.
