Feroz was not a Zorastrian, most possibly a Muslim. Gandhi adopted him to give the surname Gandhi. The father of Feroz was not a Gandhi. That is also possibly true about Nehru's grandfather, who was a police officer in Old Delhi, and thus, he was most possibly a Muslim. We were ruled by Muslim family of Nehru and now a Catholic family.
