GOI must compensate Dr. Talwar
by SS Kumar on Jul 06, 2008 07:53 PM

After damaging Dr. Talwar's credibility/ reputation completely comes the news that CBI may declare him innocent. In the US, someone else in his position would have sued the Government for millions of dollars. Can the government give back to him the credibility & reputation that he enjoyed prior to being arrested, if he is truly innocent ? This case has great similarity to the case of Dr. Haneef where the Australian Government bungled completely. I also fail to understand as to why when he is taken from one court to the other, the TV always shows 20 people surrounding him
as though he was a dreaded dacoit. Don't the other 19 have any thing better to do ?
