Deal doesnt mandate us to buy uranium. It can be bought only if we can produce electricity at a good rate. Anyway we have capacity in out nuclear power plants rotting without uranium, its better to sign the deal and get the door opened rather than thinking about cost and shutting the door itself. Price of uranium and oil can go up or down and one will be better than the other at any time. Even if its Rs100 per unit with Nuclear energy, they should still sign the deal just keep an option open as a hedge against oil drying up in another 50years. India needs to live even after you an me dies. Not signing nuclear deal is thinking about proce is like not taking insurance saying I can drive safely.
