Road conditions - A New Corruption Meter

Recently, I had been to my native place in South Gujarat and was shocked to see perfect, pothole-free, thick Asphalt roads running acroos miles right upto the village interiors. Now, that's why industrialists find more prospects in states other than in Maharashtra. One can judge the corruption level of the city by the condition of the roads. The roads are levelled ever year and within days, they develop cracks again because material quality in inferior, Govt. supervision is missing and often tenders are issued to agencies who do not have sufficent machines and manpower. Result, the work goes on for months and years! Traffic is affected and general public is made to suffer. That's exactly why business is slowly moving out of Maharashtra. Infrastructure is far better in other states. Jago neta, jago!
