God bless india
by me mumbaikar on Jul 04, 2008 05:15 PM

Hi I reside in gharkopar and my work place is situated in andheri, so daily I have to take either the kurla-andheri 'bullshit' road or vikroli-powar-sakivihar road. Interestingly I had found out some short cuts to get myself free from the discomforts of mumbai trafic but ALAS! thanks to BMC and MMRDA we mumbaikar's have been left with too few alternatives of clean and traffic free raods, as these people have tried their best to keep mumbai roads decorated with either filths or unnecessary, incomplete constructions at crutial places scattered all over the busiest spots. so the whole travel has become so unpredictable that you never know when and how you would reach your destination. RTO officials are also playing a great helping hand to these worthless organisations. I wonder y these cops are in existence. 9 out of 10 occasions they stop the heavy trafic to let go the free flowing trafic of 10-15 vehicles letting the pile up on the busy lanes. somtimes even they allow locals to chip in this 'social' job. good example is burve nagar shivsena office sopt where everybody tries to be socialworker directing trafic in all possible way causing a chinese torture for you, the driver. I feel everybody should give up their four wheelers, public transport and pick up a bycycle to reach their homes and offices. this will not only save your time, money, mind...it will also make you healthy. We just can not expect anything from the authorities as I feel in Maharashtra the authority is not in
