all parties are blindly opposing the nuclear deal , without any valid reason whatsoever. BJP initiated the deal during the NDA rule , but are now opposing it for obvious reasons. the deal is worth 10's of thousands of crores and the corrupt politicians stand to get a slice of this investment. UNPA are opposing it because they gain nothing from the deal personally. they are not bothered whether the country stands to gain or not. LEFT parties are opposing it because they have taken hundreds of crores from china and have to bow to their diktat. CONGRESS is pushing through the deal so that they can get their commissions from the suppliers.
what all the politicians do not see is that:
Nuclear fuel is the fuel of tomorrow when fossil fuels run out.
Building reactors and ramping up nuclear power capacity is a long gestation project running to 10 - 20 years . if you begin now you will the power around the year 2020.
politicians are all blinded by their personal and narrow party considerations and are not recognisisng the country's requirements.
the LEFT parties aay that fighting inflation is more important , but thats a short term goal .long term projects like the nuclear project which ensures power for our children are equally important.
WHAT WE NEED NOW IS A PUBLIC SHOW OF HANDS IN FAVOUR OF THE NUCLEAR DEAL AS THE POLITICIANS FIGHT IT OUT BECAUSE OF THEIR NARROW AND SHORTSIGHTEDNESS.
