Real cuase of signing this deal is to promote Indian stratagy to get entry in to the power group of US/EU and few other Asian democracies like Japan who control the capital of world and direction of world business.India also want to be a permanant member of UNSC alongwith Germany, Japan and Brazil. US is the key player in the world afairs. China and Russia alliance is threat to US hegemony in world economy and military power. To retain this position US needs India in their group. After Soviet disintegration US leaders and capital elites are trying to drift India from Russia. Indian economical distress during 1992 made Indian leader aware of liberalization of capital flow from ouside. Only US and EU corporates were in capacity to do this. China also understood the same but being communist model it had to adopt state capitalism where state becomes major player with puppets in its name on surface. India needs to be major player in world economy to keep its businesses moving. The old policy of Non alignment cannot be successful for nations. A nation has to be in a group of friends and allies to force its own policies on others. If you are billionair you must have strong security to safegurd your assets. US is doing this for 60 years after WW2. Bullying others is part of this game. Secondly India is a energy defficient country. It badly needs oil for economic growth. US is after Iran for oil. Once Iran falls to US India will be in trouble.Its better to be with US.
