Nuclear Deal
by Bonaventure on Jul 01, 2008 08:02 PM

I can't understand this hue and cry over the nuclear deal.

Mr AJ Abdul Kalam is apolitical and has given his nod to the deal; so has BJP's former National Security Adviser Brijesh Mishra.

Left parties are rightly termed 'red monkeys' by the Shiv Sena in opposing the deal. Its like have a member of your family ringing the deathknell while your enemies considering to bail you out.

As regards inflation, India is in a hole like the rest of the world and there is nothing that our learned MM Singh or Chidambaram can do however hard they try.

Im employed in Saudi Arabia. It has the cheapest petrol (Rs 4.85 a litre) and still has an inflation of 11% compared to 2.8% in Dec. Qatar too is in deep hole with inflation having reached 15.7% this week.

The goverment has done what it could but with crude prices going through the roof one can only hope and pray. I still feel India is a much cheaper place to live in the present scenario.
