Afzal Khan's tomb was rerected by great Maratha warrier Shivaji. Because Shivaji respected even his opponents and enemies for their bravery. Though Afzal Khan intended to kill Shivaji deceitfully,shivaji in turn turned the table on Afzal Khan and Killed him. However after killing him Shivaji erected the monumnet in the memory of Afzal Khan who was a great knight of the Vijapur Adilshahi court.That was the generosity and tolerance of great Shivaji.
