Kidney business
by Chander Malhotra on Jan 30, 2008 09:54 AM

These doctors are not criminals. They are national treasures and national assets. They haved saved lives of hundreds of terminally sick people who would have otherwise died for lack of a donor kidney transplant.

It is the adinistraton, including the politicians who should be behind bars because they are not protecting interests of donors and are allowing otherwise good and compeptent professional doctors to carry on this prectice. The government must frame laws to protect the interests of donors and patients for good of all involved.

The government should find out who facilitated these doctors to carry on their activity for so many years and put such facilitators behind bars. In the meantime, these doctos must nominated for national rewards to carrying on this practice and saving lives depite adverse circumstances.

Very clearly, these doctors were carryng on their practice publicly and not clandestinely as the administration claims. No one can carry on such a practice for so many years without the help of all statutory agencies.
