Sarkozy rose on to the global firmament,belying many detractors within France.He was perceived to be a modern statesman in the league of an Arafat,Putin or a Bush.He reflected great promise to steer the French economy out of doldrums into the same old mould of an acclaimed economic superpower.However latest reports reveal that Sarkozy is proving more of an illusion than reality.He has been hogging the limelight more for his glamourous life than for his economic reforms.The promise shown earlier needs to be substantiated by hardcore reformist ploicies ,the propaganda of which catapulted him to Elysee Palace
