The wages of sin is death by punishment (not old age). GOd knows that man cannot live without sin. So He came as human, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins

Now forgiveness has been offered to everyone.

It is our choice. We can continue to live our life and decide to pay for our own sins after death or make use of this free offer.

We all subconsciously know that good will be rewarded and bad will be punished. And we all know that we are not good eNough for God...can never ever measure up...Our thoughts and actions will be judged.

He did His part in trying to save us. If we do not do our part, Yes... like you said, we will die in our sins. His death and resurrection are useful only for those who

1. Are honest enough to accept that they cannot live a sinless life to boldly give an account
to Him about their life.

2. Are humble enough to accept this truth to God

3.Are Asking Him to save them as they cannot save themselves

Ofcourse this requires a lot of honest self evaluation. This is a bit painful and needs effort and a lot of honesty. Hey but who has the time for this nowadays.

Or the easier route is to just lie to our own conscience that we are OK when we clearly know that we are not OK. Lying and cheating ourselves arent we.
