ULFA and the other militant groups are the ulfatted the dog pooh of the north-east.
I congratulate senior journalist D N Chakraborty -- who despite the ban imposed by the militant groups -- unfurled the national tricolour at the Press Club saying "the people of the nation must celebrate Republic Day to show respect to martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives to free their motherland from the clutches of colonial rulers".
But that is more fitting for 15th August.
I believe the people of the nation must celebrate Republic Day to show that we respect the Constitution which our forefathers adopted 58 years ago in our interest.
It means collectively as a Nation we Indians have agreed to reiterate that we consent to abide by the rules they set for us. Certain laws that are the laws of our land are supreme. Nobody -- but no body, not even the fatwa-ing mullahs nor the ulfatwa-ing ulluS -- are above the laws of the land which are applied equally -- fairly and squarely -- to us all.
Those who do not hold allegiance to our flag and our laws are free to eFphO and do their dog poo in some other araby or chinky-ponky potty.
