When Narsimha Rao lost election in 1995 Congress had 190 seats. Then Sonia took over. In 1998, it got 120, in 1999 it got 90 seats. Only in 2004, Congress could get 140 seats that too because it was supported by regional parties.
Congress days are over. Their two charismatic leaders Scindhia and Pilot have died in questionable circumstances. Knowing what happened to Rajiv Gandhi after he came to know who in Sonia's family made money from Bofors, it is not far fetched to put death of Scindhia and Pilot under questionale category.
