What do u mean by India and Indian culture or Indianness?? Please take little pain to enlighten me. Come out of ur north India centric narrow racist attitude. How many north Inidan know any other Indian language other than Hindi?? I have seen Bihrais, UPites working and staying for years & generations in Tamilnadu, AP, Bengal, Assam, Maharastra do not speak local language. So how can u blame Tamils residing in Tamilnadu for not speaking Hindi... And Sanskrit very few people know (I know both sanskrit, Hindi and slowly with some difficulty can communicate in marathi, assamese and Oriya). As far as I understand Tamil, Telegu, Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri are as much Indian language as Hindi. Cultures of south, east or north-east are also part of Indian culture. Idly Dhosa, sambar or Bengal's Machli-Bhat or Nagaland's dog-meat are as much Indian food as ur Palak-panner or chicken tikka masala. If u don't respect to other states of India then they will also not show u any respect. And for ur kind information Hindi (contrary to what ur north politician tells u) is not national language.. read constitution with ammendments...Why should a Tamil or Bengali who is not going out of his state should learn Hindi which is useless for him?? After learning English, if possible, he should better learn Spanish, Russian, Portugese or German which will give him more job opportunity in today's free global economy.
