BJP
by A Singh on Jan 21, 2008 05:43 PM

BJP had once upon a time, a leader named Atal Bihari Vajpai. He wanted to prove himself more secular and Mandalite than left and VP Singh respectively. He was willing to touch the feet of anyone who called him a secular person. That is why he declared unilateral ceasefire in Kashmir more than once, and released dreaded terrorists; just to bloster his personal secular image. Some people were fooled for some time, and decided to join the NDA experiment in the loot of the country. But after decline of Vajpai, even if BJP decide to forego Ram altogether, nobody is going to believe them, and they are not going to be a part of any front.
Besides, those who had been voting for BJP for its leaning towards the right, have also been disillusiioned, and are gradually deserting the party, and are shifting towards alternatives like the BSP.
Where does this leave BJP?
