You are somewhat right. Jalli-kattu WAS a dignified sport originally. It was a sign of bravery where a few brave men tried to tame bulls. But TODAY, a few thousand morons chase one bull pulling its tail, scaring it by blocking the narrow pathway and at least 6-8 so-called brave MEN cling to the poor animal trying to pull it down. How is this bravery? Shouldn't it be one-on-one. It just shows how tribal and animists these folks are. The supreme court is right in blocking it and the way out to maintain "tradition" would be for the government to set proper rules on taming the bulls and not let more than on individual to tame a bull.
