I graduated from IIT Madras. Initially, I had high hopes of joining DRDO and contributing to India's defence research. But later, some of my friends who worked at DRDO told me about the pathetic work culture over there. What they said is essentially the same as what you have written above. I lost all interest in joining DRDO after that. No wonder, India's defence is lagging behind.
