In Oct last year one Deep K Datta-Ray supposedly working with the Ministry of External Affairs had also denounced defence research in the media & quite merrily gone on to cite failures in a tone & tenor similar to Bharat Verma.Both MEA & MoD being part of the same GOI - how can they work at cross purpose? Here the author is instructing the govt to force DRDO to seek collaboration with international players.If there were no DRDO - the wheeler dealers would have taken India for a big ride.Even the friends of long standing are trying to get additional pound of flesh on free gifts.For sure lot of people are trying to promote international focus including authors & advisor.
