FIRE AT BURRA BAZAR
by Venkataramani Subbiah on Jan 14, 2008 01:27 PM

My sympathy to the people for Burrabazar. Its really surprising that the leaders of the ruling CPM were holdng a rally of their party causing traffic jams and undue hardships to the suffering people. What happend on the 13th of January at the Maidan is a repeat of "Nero's fiddling when Rome was burning". At least now, let the people of the State wake up to the fact that the CPM and its allies are just not bothered about the welfare of the people. They prefer the people of the state to be economically weak so that by doling our charity they can remain in power and make money for themselves.
The party's only aim is to shamelessly stick to the Congress, once their sworn enemy, since they would never get another oppurtunity to wield so much power in Parliament.
They have made West Bengal, a State of wonderful people, impoverished and destroyed the industrial growth durin the last 50 or so years, by theie useless unions and leaders.
