It is childish to publicly demand such an award.Mr Advani has been the Home Minister for several years and should know the procedure for approving such awards. By publicly demanding it he is playing politics. If Vajpayee is awarded he can claim credit for it and if not he and his party can stage walk outs in the Parliament and create ruckus as they usually do. Also, if Vajpayee is given the award there will be demands from others. the first will be Mayawati who will demand two, one for Kanshi Ram and the other for herself.She has already demanded SPG cover for herself for trying to equate herself with the PM. There are others who will have similar demands. Such awards should be given as per the laid down procedure and kept confidential till approved and announced by the President. They cannot be made a subject of public debate. Mr Advani who aspires to be the next PM of this country should behave in a more matured way.
