One who resides in maharashtra and respects the local culture. Need not have a maharshtrian surname. Important things is unforced respect for the fact that his/her survival is due to Maharashtra. And for those doubting maharshtra;s contribution...if it had not been for the marathas today India would have been a Islamic nation...Infact maratha rule extended till afghanistan in west, burma in east, TN in south till one point of time. Today all mumbaikars/mumbaiites/bombayiites whichever name u call him/her is fed up with illegal bangladeshi's and other non tax payers. Shivsena as usual is trying to gain out of it bt in such cases everyone feels like siding upto them.... But y point fingure to sena alone... Wreent the theatres in banglore blocked to show only kannada films... in TN and kerela they dont care what happens else where ...they cant even speak hindi... in bengal the situation is same...Gujaratis settle else where for money but even they care for only their state and people. so lets not just single out the sena and the marathis... many of my non-marathi friends speak fluent marathi...there are many like them in this city...Most of them do acknnowledge the state and the city as their own... In fact i have known more non-marathi speaking people watching marathi plays...
So all u mumbaikars please dont think that maharashtrians dont want other ppl...we do but show respect towards your state
