For all those outsiders in rediff and also ppl with certain religious beliefs(who are antinationals), India has evolved whenever there is a social discord, We could be naive, illiterate, etc but atleast we dont abuse women by isolating them socially and making a veiled slave out of them(Middl Eastern) OR abusing/exploiting them sxualy to such an extent that they end up as a broken family(step dad/mom/child.... phenomenon)(West).
