In general we are hypocrates. Preaching one set of values and practising another. Last year there was a sting operation in Pentaluma county California. Out of 30 people caught on camera for soliciting sex with underage girls, 9 were Indians. There were latinos and Cubans too and only 2 whites. To coumpond the matters Indian consulate made casual remarks like the Mumbai police. We preach respect for women and murder them in the womb. We will not let pre-marital sex between consenting adults and yet highest number of underage girls are traded in south asia for commercial sex. Most people lose their virginity in brothels but they will not let couples even sit together holding hands in a park.
Moreover concept of western women being totally loose is wrong. Women and men here have very respectful relationships. The may not live the "saat janam tak saath" concept, but they do have very descipleaned behavior in public which is to say consenting adults do what they want but people will not force themselves on a girl even in a sex club. Yes there are sex crimes but the are not underreported as in India due to stigma and there are harsh punishments. Moreover unlike perception in India fun here means not just sex. Young people go skiing,camping, trecking, sledging or even play pool. All in all very healthy as compared to India. India needs to do serious rethinking on its problems and not blame the west.
