I appreciate your point. You rightly have a point to ponder over. The main worry of Indians which is stopping freedom to kashmir is Politics (whichever party allows it, they will be called as Gaddar and the other party will exploit this to the hilt and so no party want to take this step) and second, if kashmir is given freedom, the other states also may demand freedom adn ultimately India will become another USSR and break. But, i personally feel that, something should be done to respect the kashmiri peoples' dignity and they must be won over by good deeds and not by rigging elections and sloganeering.
